The XAT is a two-hour duration paper, with number of questions being 200. The paper divided into following 3 sections with sectional timings being enforced
1. General Awareness - (60 questions-40 minutes)
2. English Usage & Reading Comprehension - (80 questions-40 minutes)
3. Mathematics & Data Interpretation - (60 questions-40 minutes)
In the last 20-min you are expected to write a 250 – 300 word essay with topics ranging from those of social relevance to propositions to abstract.
1. General Awareness - covers sections related to Geography, Science, Constitutional, Philosophical/ humorous quotes, Management and History
2. English Usage & Reading Comprehension - covers topics like Synonym, RC, RC based Antonym, Fill in the blanks and Analogies
3. Mathematics & Data Interpretation - cover topics, Probability, Functions, DI (table and pie-chart), Series etc.
